Job Description
English:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will drive the design, analysis, and prototyping of new concepts while working in a manufacturing and product-oriented development environment. You will work on a Product Design team that balances comfort, performance, and appearance in an innovative and harmonious design that complements and enables the technology. You will collaborate with external vendors and internal cross-functional teams such as Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, Reliability, Operations, Product to define and deliver excellent products.
Key Responsibilities
Designing of products and tooling to support in-house prototyping builds.
Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), mechanical simulation and presentation to cross functional teams.
Create work instructions and assembly drawings to facilitate transferring products to manufacturing.
Redesign standard products, improving quality and productivity, while reducing costs.
Documentation and presentation of materials for technical design reviews.
Study and understand the project process flow and propose innovative tooling.
Research and recommend suitable manufacturing techniques and materials for tooling and jigs and fixtures.
Generate detailed designs with 3D CAD assemblies/components and 2D drawings with all the fabrication process, material and finishing standards.
Will be working closely with tooling vendors to fabricate new tooling, trouble shoot, repair and rework any existing tooling.
Manage the tooling vendor and tooling delivery date to meet the project dates.
Requirements
English:
Bachelor or equivalent.
Knowledge of solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and mechanical design of products, modules, jigs and fixtures.
Experience with 3D CAD skill (Solidworks), proficiency with microsoft office.
Familiar with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA), and GD&T.
Self motivated, team player, good written and verbal communication skill.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
